The Bytown Fire Brigade had another successful 2nd Annual Pump Day at Mooney's Bay Park despite the weather this year.

We had  seven of our vehicles on full display in the park , our 1850 Hand pump, 1886 Steamer and our 1928, 1931, 1939, 1941 and 1948 Fire trucks. Lots of kids of all ages got to spray water from our 1928 American LaFrance and our 1850 Hand pump.

Check out our Facebook video of all our Bytown vehicles leaving the Bytown museum on our way to Mooney's Bay Park. It's always great to see all the vehicles driving down the road together.

We also have a live Facebook video from Mooney's Bay Park showing our set-up and lots of kids getting to help spray water from our 1928 American LaFrance pumper.

We had lots of food for everyone and Bytown items for purchase on site. The Event was free for one and all to attend. Donations to the Bytown Fire Brigade are always welcome and appreciated.

The Bytown Fire Brigade is a non-profit Historical Society preserving firefighting history, and has been actively preserving Canada’s firefighting heritage with a fleet of antique vehicles and artifacts in our museum.  Throughout the years, the Bytown Fire Brigade has worked to preserve firefighting artifacts and educate the local community on this important part of its history.
